KENNETT SQUARE, Pa. (AP) _ Genesis Healthcare Inc. (GEN) on Tuesday reported a loss of $65.2 million in its second quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Kennett Square, Pennsylvania-based company said it had a loss of 70 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring costs and to account for discontinued operations, were 32 cents per share.
The operator of nursing homes and senior living communities posted revenue of $1.34 billion in the period.
In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, the company's shares hit $1.41. A year ago, they were trading at $2.01.
