Gannon Associates serve area residents

Gannon Associates, an Insurance Agency with 10 office locations and a service area that covers Pennsylvania, New York and surrounding states, has two representatives in the Tunkhannock area ready to serve residents.

Sales agent Lauren Haraschak has been a Tunkhannock resident for more than 25 years, moving here with her family as a P&G 'transplant' family. She has been with Gannon Associates Insurance for three years and also has more than 10 years of banking experience.

The TAHS graduate also attended Luzerne County Community College. She is also the mom to Ty Richter, 16 and Quinn Haraschak, 7, both students in the Tunkhannock schools.

"I really enjoy getting to know our customers and working with them to see how we can bestmeet the needs of their families and businesses," Haraschak said. "Gannon Associates represents more than 85 insurance carriers and we work with you to find the best fit for each unique situation. Being a part of the community where I work has given me the chance to meet our customers away from the office. I have been involved with coaching and other activities at school. It makes my work more meaningful."

Joining Haraschak in the Tunkhannock area is commercial producer Matt Zona. Also a TAHS grad, Matt attended Penn State- Wilkes Barre. He joined Gannon Associates in January with eight years of insurance experience.

Matt values the opportunities to share his love of sports with customers. An enthusiast of softball, fishing, golf and cornhole, he believes that those connections help him to relate better to customers.

"It is great to make connections outside of the office," added Zona. "It gives me a better picture of the customer and their family. Customers are not random numbers, the better connection that we have with them, the better that we can serve them."

Gannon Associates Insurance is also committed to being a part of the communities they serve. Locally, they have been the presenting sponsor for Christmas in Our Hometown for a number of years and participate in the annual celebration of Founder's Day. They also sponsor a number of local
