Of the $100,000, $75,000 is earmarked to fund college scholarships for students who graduate from the 100 KINGS Leadership Program, a year-round and multi-year program which provides the foundation young black men need to excel in school, pursue a college education, and succeed in life. The remaining funds will support academic enrichment initiatives including college and career readiness programs.

“This donation underscores Fortitude Re’s commitment to supporting organizations that champion education, mentorship, and leadership development for underrepresented youth,” said Amanda Stewart, Head of Employee Experience and Fortitude Re 4 Good. “Through their meaningful work in mentorship and education, 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee is making a profound difference in the lives of countless young people, and we are honored to support their efforts to advance inclusion, equity and social change.”

Since 1991, 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee has been at the forefront of empowering young Black individuals through mentorship programs, educational initiatives and community outreach efforts. The organization is an affiliate of 100 Black Men of America, Inc., a service organization chartered in 1986 with a commitment to improve the academic and social proficiency of inner-city youth.

Fortitude Re remains dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging efforts and actively support organizations and initiatives that promote positive change and empowerment within underserved communities.
