Former Federal Reserve adviser indicted on espionage, conspiracy charges
Court records indicated he was arrested in Vienna on Friday and arraigned downtown before U.S. Magistrate Judge Matthew J. Sharbaugh, who ordered him held without bond pending a detention hearing Tuesday. The confidential information could "allow China to manipulate the U.S. market, in a manner similar to insider trading," the indictment states.
