Former CT real estate developer gets 5 years in prison for investment fraud scheme
U.S. Judge Victor A. Bolden ordered Robert V. Matthews, 65, to serve 65 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Matthews, of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., faced up to 45 years in prison after he pleaded guilty in April 2019 to tax evasion, conspiracy to commit bank fraud and wire fraud and illegal monetary transactions, court documents show.
