Former automotive group president and insurance agent form new Jacksonville business

David Hodges Jr., former 25-year president of Jacksonville's Scott McRae Automotive Group and current owner of Hodges Automotive Group, recently partnered with local insurance agent Blake Rhodes to form 925 Partners Insurance.

The agency began offering personal and commercial insurance in April at McRae Automotive's previous Riverside offices at 701 Riverside Park Place and said it has already grown to 400 new clients and $1.2 million in new business premiums. Its name is inspired by Luke 9:25 -- "For what is a man profited if he gain the whole world and lose himself?"

The pair saw a need in Jacksonville for an insurance agency that focuses on small- to mid-size businesses, Hodges said.

"Most commercially focused agencies pour all their resources into big business accounts, and many personal line-driven agencies are not equipped to fully meet the needs of mid-size companies," Rhodes said. "That leaves a significant segment of the middle market underserved for their risk management needs."

925 Partners also plans to contribute financially to the Jacksonville community.
