Everest Insurance Adds Industry Veteran Rick Taute as Vice President, Marketing & Distribution and National Wholesale Distribution Leader

BOSTON, Massachusetts, April 9 -- Everest Re Group, a reinsurance and insurance organization, issued the following news:

Everest Insurance(R), the diversified specialty insurance division of Everest Re Group, Ltd., announced today the addition of Rick Taute as Vice President, Marketing & Distribution and National Wholesale Distribution Leader for insurance. Rick will be based out of the Everest Insurance(R) Boston, MA, office.

Rick most recently worked at Lexington Insurance Company (AIG) where he was Executive Vice President of the Lexington National Branch, managing a staff of executives and underwriters responsible for all products within Lexington's wholesale book of business while also overseeing wholesale broker distribution management for Lexington and AIG.

Speaking on this new appointment, Dane Lopes, Everest Insurance(R) Chief Commercial Officer, said, "Adding someone with Rick's deep experience in the wholesale space to oversee the significant Everest Insurance(R) wholesale distribution platform is an important step in servicing the growing wholesale market with streamlined access and differentiated products.
