Elkhart Career Center December events

Dec. 03--ELKHART -- The Elkhart Career Center is offering a variety of events through the month of December. All Career Center Events are free and open to the public.

The Community Career Center is located adjacent to Goodwill Retail Store, 3808 East Mishawaka Road, Elkhart.

--Coffee & Chat

Staff from the Elkhart Goodwill Community Career Center will provide coffee and host an informal group chat about job searching, area services, and what the Goodwill Community career has to offer.

Wednesday, Dec. 6 and 13 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

--Lippert Hiring Event

Staff from Lippert Plant #50 will be at the Elkhart Goodwill Community Career Center on Saturday, Dec. 9 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. They will be prepared to hire for immediate full-time positions and various shifts.

--Health Insurance Fair

Are you confused about health insurance? Would you like to talk with someone in the health insurance industry who understand what's going on? Do you need to sign up for insurance? Visit the Elkhart Community Career Center on Tuesday, Dec. 12 between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Representatives from Anthem, CareSource, Heart City, Heart Health Center and MHS will be on hand to answer questions and help sign up for insurance.

Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 3 p.m. -- 6 p.m.

--Real Services

On Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 1to 3 p.m. a Family Development Consultant from Real Services will be at the Elkhart Goodwill Community Career Center with applications for their Energy Assistance Program.

The program assists individuals from income eligible households with electric and heating expenses during the winter months. If you need help, come in to pick up your packet and get the process started.

They may also have a program to help you with buying a new home, making repairs, or paying for college.

Wednesday, December 13 from 1 to 3 p.m.

--PowerPoint for Beginners Workshop

Staff from the Elkhart Goodwill Community Career Center will conduct a PowerPoint for beginners workshop. This Workshop is designed for anyone wanting to know the basics of creating PowerPoint presentations.

Friday, Dec. 15 from 5 -- 6 p.m.
