DXC Technology Signs Agreement to Modernize Wisconsin’s Medicaid Management Information System

Five-year deal extends DXC’s 40-year relationship with the state of Wisconsin

TYSONS, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) awarded DXC Technology (NYSE: DXC) a contract to manage the technology and business processes associated with its Medicaid program. The contract has an estimated value of $400 million over a five-year base period and also allows for five, one-year additional renewal options.

Under the contract, DXC will provide fiscal-agent services for the state’s Medicaid program, which serves about 1.2 million members annually. DXC will manage the current systems and operations and will enhance the state’s Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS). Over the course of the new contract, business modules will be strategically carved out and integrated to modernize, rather than replace, the state’s MMIS.

DXC’s long-established Medicaid Process Management Services touch more than 45.8 million lives. Its interChange Healthcare Platform, leveraged by the state of Wisconsin, helps government healthcare agencies lower administrative costs, reduce fraud and abuse, and improve the quality of services for individuals.
