Digital Banking Hub, EQIBank, Announces Insured Custody Services

PR Web

ROSEAU DOMINCA, Dominica (PRWEB) July 26, 2019

EQIBank, the digital banking hub that offers corporate and HNWI banking to 180 countries, today announced their launch of insured custody for digital assets.

Through a strategic relationship formed with Kingdom Trust, an industry leader in alternative asset custody, EQIBank offers multi-layer storage with assets segregated and held in cold storage vaults. Such security measures remove the kind of risk typically associated with third-party security solutions by way of a robust protocol that combines time-tested audited policies and procedures with "best-in-class" technology in a single, insurable safekeeping solution.

Speaking at the launch of the new service, EQIBank CEO Jason Blick commented, "Our job is to give EQIBank's clients the ability to protect their future. We think about the things they need before they know they need them. Strong, insured custody is one of those things."

The Kingdom Trust custody solution, which is intended to provide EQIBank's clients with an additional level of comfort and security regarding the digital assets being held on their behalf, includes instances of loss as a result of theft by an employee, theft by a third party and/or direct loss of property held in cold storage.

With insurance coverage of $US20 million for any one occurrence, and in the annual aggregate, the EQIBank/Kingdom Trust Insurance is provided through two leading Lloyd's of London syndicates.

"Kingdom Trust was built around my own personal aspiration to protect my assets. We are thrilled when innovators like EQIBank work with us to offer their clients the same surety," added Matt Jennings, Co-founder and CEO of Kingdom Trust.

"We're proud of our growing operational and technology relationships, of which Kingdom Trust is a welcomed addition," stated Mr. Blick. "We are constantly seeking ways to improve our services to clients, and a secure and transparent approach to digital asset exposure has been something funds and asset managers have demanded."

EQIBank is a global digital bank for corporate and high net-worth clients, providing banking, exchange, lending, custody and wealth management services to 180 countries.

Kingdom Trust is an independent qualified custodian, regulated by the South Dakota Division of Banking, that provides a highly secure, qualified custody service designed for financial institutions, hedge funds, investment sponsors, RIAs and family offices. Kingdom Trust's services provide end-to-end capabilities to secure digital currencies and additional alternative assets. The firm currently serves over 100,000 clients and has over $US12 billion AUC.
