Detroit police seeking witnesses in fatal crash involving a car and two motorcycles
Detroit Free Press (MI)
Detroit police are asking anyone to report what they know about a fatal collision involving two motorcyclists and the driver of a Chevy Impala early Tuesday in the 14900 block of Schaefer.
The Impala, police said, hit the motorcycles from behind.
It's unclear whether the Impala driver, a 25-year-old man, was intoxicated.
He was arrested and taken into custody while detectives investigate the crash.
Detectives said the collision occurred at about 12:35 a.m. The motorcyclists, two women, ages 53 and 46, had stopped, ready to make a left turn, when the Impala hit them. Both motorcyclists were taken to a hospital for treatment.
