The Chicago teachers strike enters its third week after Monday’s classes were canceled following a weekend of negotiations. That’s despite the fact that the union representing CPS support staff was reviewing the final terms of an agreement Sunday night. Mayor Lori Lightfoot and CPS CEO Janice Jackson announced the deal with SEIU at a news conference. However, the mayor said a deal had not been reached with the Chicago Teachers Union.
