Dawn Johnson Insurance Agency Initiates St Louis Community Charity Drive to Raise Funds for the Fight Against Cancer

The Dawn Johnson Insurance Group, a Missouri-based insurance and financial planning firm headquartered in Charles County, is inaugurating a new charity drive to generate community support for efforts to educate the local population on cancer realities while attracting donations to be used for research into cures and treatments for all types of cancer.

Each day in America, roughly 4,600 new cases of cancer are diagnosed and more than 1,600 cancer patients succumb to the disease. In Missouri alone, there have been more than 34,000 new cancer cases and nearly 15,000 cancer related deaths over the last year. The Dawn Johnson Insurance charity event will concentrate on information sharing to help promote cancer literacy in communities throughout Missouri while generating donations for ongoing cancer research.

"Cancer can affect any and everyone and it is important that the community is aware of the risks and factors that contribute to the disease. It is our goal to continue to push research and information out to help lessen those affected by cancer," says Dawn Johnson, principal agent and general manager of the Dawn Johnson Insurance Group.

To begin the information sharing process, Johnson and her team have posted to their online social media channels and are launching an email update system to organize event supporters. This is the fifth regional charity drive organized by the Dawn Johnson Insurance Agency since the firm became a St. Louis area representative of the "Agents of Change" network. As members of this national charity support group, the Dawn Johnson team plans to host events for new local charitable causes every 90 days.
