Targeted News Service
WALNUT CREEK, California, Nov. 26 -- CSAA Insurance Group, an insurance company, issued the following news:
In an effort to help the communities impacted by the Camp Fire, CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA insurer, announced it will donate $50,000 to two nonprofits and match employees' donations to the same nonprofits.
The insurer will donate $25,000 to both the American Red Cross and the North Valley Community Foundation to help Butte County wildfire victims. The company is also matching employees' donations to recovery and relief efforts in the area, up to an additional $20,000.
The American Red Cross and Chico-based North Valley Community Foundation are helping shelter and feed evacuees, and are addressing other short- and long-term community needs.
"We have been helping AAA members recover and rebuild after wildfires for more than 40 years," said Danielle Cagan, vice president of external affairs for CSAA Insurance Group. "Given the extent of devastation created by this historic fire, we want to support those relief partners responding to the Camp Fire and making a difference for many people in a time of need."
AAA agents and emergency response staff continue to assist AAA members affected by the fire in Butte County via branch offices and other temporary locations where members can file auto and home claims and seek help with immediate living expenses and other relief.
