Craig Landi Joins Argo Group to Lead U.S. Professional Lines Business

HAMILTON, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. (NASDAQ: AGII), an international underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance products, today announced the appointment of Craig Landi as president of Argo Pro U.S. reporting to Steve McGill, group head of professional lines.

“As an industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience, Craig has demonstrated his ability is to develop and manage all the specialized operations required to build, grow, and maintain an exceptional professional lines insurance business,” said McGill. “His efforts will help us take Argo Pro to the next level of client service, growth and innovation in the marketplace.”

In this position, Landi is responsible for leading all aspects of Argo Group’s U.S. professional lines business, which includes a broad portfolio of errors and omissions and management liability products sold through appointed retail and wholesale brokers.

Landi joins Argo Group from Freedom Specialty Insurance where he was president and chief operating officer. Prior to that he held senior leadership roles at Arch Insurance Group, ACE Insurance Company, CNA Insurance Company and American International Group where he started his career in professional lines underwriting.

He has a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
