Prentiss County supervisors got some good news regarding insurance costs at their most recent meeting.
Jon Floyd with Cornerstone Insurance told the board the county's health insurance rate with Blue Cross Blue Shield will drop five percent for the upcoming new fiscal year. The reduction represents an approximately $37,000 savings.
Floyd said the reduction comes with no change in the coverage for employees.
The next regular meeting of the board is set for Monday, August 7 at 10 a.m. at the county chancery building.
