Congresswoman Marcia Fudge Statement on the U.S. Supreme Court Decision on King v. Burwell

(Washington, D.C.) - Congresswoman Marcia L. Fudge (OH-11) issued the following statement after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on King v. Burwell to uphold subsidies in the Affordable Care Act (ACA):

"Today is a great day. In upholding the Affordable Care Act (ACA) health insurance subsidies for residents of states on the federal health care exchange, the Supreme Court has helped ensure access to health care for millions of Americans. I am pleased the Supreme Court has re-affirmed the ACA and helped solidify health care for generations to come.

Ohioans are greatly benefiting from the ACA. Over 230,000 residents selected quality, affordable coverage from the health care exchange by February 2015. The ACA is working. With this decision behind us we can continue to build on its success and improve the lives of all Americans."
