Dec. 18--A Clay, Ky., man who was involved in a two-vehicle collision on the Twin Bridges late Wednesday night has been arrested on multiple charges.
The Henderson County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to an injury collision on U.S. 41-North on the southbound bridge at 10:35 p.m. Wednesday.
At the time of the collision, the southbound bridge had been reduced to one lane to allow for repairs on the bridge. Construction workers were in the immediate area.
Ryan Walker of Clay was driving a 2006 Ford Explorer that rear-ended a 1999 Dodge Dakota driven by Tamala Glosser of Evansville. Both Glosser and her two passengers had minor injuries and were taken to Methodist Hospital for treatment.
During the investigation, it was determined that Walker was under the influence of alcohol.
Walker was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol (second offense, aggravated circumstances), no registration receipt, no registration plate, improper display of registration plates, possession of open alcoholic container prohibited in motor vehicle and failure of owner to maintain required insurance (second offense).
The southbound lanes of U.S. 41-North were shut down for about and hour and a half. Deputies were assisted on scene by Henderson County Emergency Medical Services, Henderson Fire Department, Baskett Fire Department and Kentucky State Police.
