Bygones: 2004 bill would have paid health insurance premiums for all Minnesota children [Duluth News Tribune, Minn.]

Duluth News-Tribune (MN)

Mar. 21—News Tribune, March 21, 1924

The U.S. Department of Agriculture reports that the ice in the Duluth-Superior harbor averages 23 inches and that an ice field has been driven into the west end of Lake Superior for 100 miles.

News Tribune, March 21, 1954

Officials from the U.S. Rivers and Harbors Board are recommending that the entire village of Odanah, Wisconsin, be moved 1 mile to higher ground to protect it from flood damage.

News Tribune & Herald, March 21, 1984

Duluth's plans for a high-tech high school to attract gifted students from across the state might be swallowed up by legislative plans for a similar school that could be located elsewhere.

News Tribune, March 21, 2004

A bill sponsored by Sen. Yvonne Prettner Solon, DFL-Duluth, would place all children in Minnesota into a giant health care purchasing pool to gain leverage. The state would eventually pay all health insurance premiums for children under the plan.
