BRIEF: Waite Park woman injured in two-vehicle crash Wednesday

Feb. 22--A Waite Park woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at Ninth Avenue North and 11th Street, the St. Cloud Police Department said.

Amie O'Maley, 41, was stopped at a red light when she was struck by a vehicle driven by Christina Roketa, 34, of St. Cloud, police said. O'Maley was transported to St. Cloud Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Roketa told police "the sun was in her eyes, windshield was dirty and she was talking to a passenger" as reasons for the crash, according to a tweet from St. Cloud police.

Roketa refused medical attention at the scene and was cited for driving after revocation and no proof of insurance, police said.
