BRIEF: Police said Effingham driver who overturned admits going too fast

Feb. 12--DECATUR -- A driver who said he was driving too fast crashed and overturned his vehicle in rural Effingham County Sunday morning, according to State Police.
In a statement, Master Sgt. Shad Payne said the accident happened at 10:10 a.m. and driver Devin M.R. Durbin, 22, and passengers Nikita S. Durbin, 19, and 4-month-old Annalida L. Durbin, all of Mount Vernon, were treated at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.
Payne said Devin Durbin's car had been westbound on County Road 750 East near County Road 200 North when it slid out of control, struck a ditch and overturned, ending up on its roof.
Durbin was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions and having no insurance.
