Albany Herald (GA)
Jan. 31--CAMILLA -- A church blaze Tuesday morning in Mitchell County is under investigation by state fire officials.
Georgia Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner Ralph Hudgens said late Tuesday that his office is investigating the fire that heavily damaged Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, located at 8572 Pinecliff Road in Camilla.
Hudgens said the cause of the fire had not been determined and made an appeal to the public for information.
"We are asking that anyone with information about this fire please call the Arson Hotline at 1 (800) 282-5804," Hudgens said. "We want to remind everyone that we have not yet determined whether this fire was accidental or arson, but any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could be important."
