BRIEF: Boulder County to hold Cold Springs Fire neighborhood meeting
Daily Times-Call (Longmont, CO)
Feb. 21--Boulder County is inviting Nederland-area residents who live within or adjacent to last July's Cold Springs Fire burn zone to a Monday night community meeting.
The meeting, set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Nederland Community Center, 750 Colo. 72, will focus on "life after a wildfire" information and issues and challenges associated with recovery. A panel of survivors of the 2010 Fourmile Canyon Fire will share their recovery stories and answer questions.
County officials said some of the topics to be discussed are: what to expect for revegetation; how to deal with burned trees and weeds; the impact on the neighborhood; emotional recovery; and tips about construction, permits and working with insurance companies.
For more information about the meeting, contact Garry Sanfaçon, Boulder County's fire and flood recovery manager, at 720-564-2642 or gsanfacon@bouldercounty.org.
