BRIEF: 2 cited in connection to weekend car-pedestrian accident

Dec. 29--MOSES LAKE -- The driver of a vehicle involved in a car and pedestrian accident, as well as the pedestrian, have been cited by the Washington State Patrol.
About 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, Gabriel Villalobos-Lopez, 30, of Warden, was reportedly driving a Mercedes 240 north on state Route 17 and struck Camilo Ramos, 58, of Moses Lake, who was crossing SR-17 east at Grape Drive, according to the patrol.
Ramos was injured and transported to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake for treatment. Villalobos-Lopez was not injured. Villalobos-Lopez's vehicle sustained reportable damage and was driven from the scene.
Ramos cited for a crosswalk violation. Villalobos-Lopez was cited for leaving the scene of a collision, failure to render aid and driving without insurance, according to the patrol.
