Dec. 19--BLUE EARTH -- A Blue Earth woman is facing a long list of charges after she allegedly threatened a man she knows and crashed her van into his car while under the influence of multiple substances.
A man reported he was struck by Cassandra Ann Baumann, 29, on Saturday evening on Highway 16 in Blue Earth.
The man said he had recently ended a relationship with Baumann and she was harassing him. Earlier that day Baumann allegedly called and threatened to kill the man if he didn't meet with her to talk.
When the man returned home, Baumann was waiting outside his apartment, according to a court complaint. When the man drove away, Baumann followed. She allegedly rear-ended his car and crashed her van into a ditch.
A responding police officer found Baumann in a ditch and she appeared to be intoxicated, according to criminal charges.
Baumann reportedly admitted to drinking before she followed and struck the complainant. A breath test allegedly showed she had a blood alcohol level of 0.17.
Baumann allegedly was in possession of 11 pills of a prescription stimulant and six pills of an anti-anxiety medication.
Additional testing showed Baumann also had those two drugs and marijuana in her system, according to the complaint.
Baumann was charged Tuesday in Fairbault County District Court with felony counts of terroristic threats and assault with a dangerous weapon, gross misdemeanor counts of DWI and drug possession, and several misdemeanors including property damage and driving without insurance.
