Bizzarro to host Millcreek, Edinboro health insurance forums
Erie Times-News (PA)
May 28--ERIE, Pa. -- State. Rep. Ryan A. Bizzarro, D-3rd Dist., will host two public forums Wednesday during which residents can learn about health insurance plans available to them.
The first event is at 3 p.m. at the Edinboro Municipal Building, 124 Meadville St., Edinboro. The second is at 6 p.m. at the Millcreek Township Municipal Building, 3608 W. 26th St.
No RSVP is required.
The forums will be led by a health care navigator to help residents determine if they qualify for Medicare, Medicaid or a plan on the Health Insurance Marketplace.
"So many people have questions about what health insurance plan is right for them," Bizzarro said. "While the navigator will not be enrolling attendees in plans on site, they will answer any questions that come up and give them the tools to make more empowered health care decisions."
Anyone unable to attend can take advantage of a new program at Bizzarro's Millcreek office at 1101 Peninsula Drive.
Starting in June, visitors can meet with a health care navigator for assistance in applying for insurance.
Beginning June 9, the professional will visit the office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month.
Walk-ins are welcomed, but appointments are recommended.
The office can be reached at 835-2880.
