AXA XL Natural Language Processing Initiative Selected by 50 Insurer CIOs for Novarica Research Council Impact Award

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- AXA XL will receive an Impact Award from the Novarica Insurance Technology Research Council, a peer community of hundreds of insurance industry CIOs. Fifty CIO council members reviewed dozens of case studies to select the winners for the 8th annual awards. This is the second consecutive win for AXA XL, which was honored by the group in 2018 for its digital innovation practice.

AXA XL implemented natural language processing (NLP) to automate the review of property risk engineering surveys. Launched in eight months, the system enables review of all surveys rather than relying on sampling, while reducing processing time by more than 50%, and improving risk selection.
