In order to educate drivers on what to do immediately following a crash with a tractor-trailer, Laramore lists the following three tips:
No. 1: Call the police and for medical assistance. "It is very important to immediately seek medical attention if injured, and to take photos of any injuries," stressed Laramore. "Even if you do not feel hurt in the moment, that can quickly change."
No. 2: Take pictures of all vehicles involved in the accident. Many times the vehicles are moved or evidence is changed before the police arrive to start investigating. "You want to be sure you have evidence of what occurred," noted Laramore.
No. 3: Speak to an attorney before the insurance company. "Under no circumstance should you speak to any insurance company before speaking to an experienced personal injury attorney, who will know how to maximize the value of your case," concluded Laramore.
