ACLI President and CEO Susan Neely issued the following statement today on the Federal Reserve Board announcing seven members, including six new members, of its Insurance Advisory Committee, or IPAC.
"The American Council of Life Insurers applauds the Federal Reserve Board for composing its Insurance Advisory Committee (IPAC) with life insurance industry representatives. They will bring a deep knowledge of the unique role the industry plays in the lives of millions of Americans and the nation's economy.
"Life insurers are on the front lines of the economic recovery from the pandemic. They're investing every day in local communities, the states, America's businesses and more, providing capital that is essential to job creation, economic growth and innovation. At the same time they're providing more financial protection than ever before.
"This input is vital to helping ensure the Federal Reserve Board has timely information about the families, communities and businesses that are rebuilding with the help of life insurers."
