WASHINGTON, Jan. 26 -- America's Health Insurance Plans issued the following news release:
America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) would like to thank the 65 members of the United States Senate who signed a bipartisan letter yesterday, expressing their support for Medicare Advantage. This record-setting show of support demonstrates the real value, quality and cost savings Medicare Advantage provides to seniors and tax payers. The letter was sent to Acting Administrator Conway at the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services (CMS).
"Thank you to Senator Mike Crapo and Senator Bill Nelson, who led this letter, and the other 63 Senators who offered such a strong show of support for our nation's seniors," said Marilyn Tavenner, President and CEO of AHIP. "Medicare Advantage is a great example of a public-private health program that works - improving affordability and health care quality for seniors across the nation."
