A M Best issued Grinnell Mutual a Financial Strength Rating (FSR) of A (excellent) with a stable outlook

AM Best issues another "A" rating for Grinnell Mutual
AM Best has affirmed an "A" (Excellent) Financial Strength Rating (FSR) for Grinnell Mutual. The "A" rating and stable outlook for the future apply to both Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company and Grinnell Select Insurance Company (GSI). Grinnell Mutual has received an "A" rating since 1991.
AM Best also gave Grinnell Compass Inc., the Grinnell Mutual Group's newest underwriting company an FSR of "A."
"We are pleased that AM Best has once again reaffirmed our "A" rating and that we maintained it in light of tough, back-to-back weather-related loss years," said Jeff Menary, Grinnell Mutual's president and CEO.
"This rating, which we have held for 32 years for Grinnell Mutual and Grinnell Select, demonstrates our financial strength, stability, and the innovative culture we have at Grinnell Mutual. And, we're happy to add Grinnell Compass Inc. to that "A" rating."
