Nov. 22--MOULTRIE -- A Moultrie woman accused of taking $7.49 in over-the-counter medications Monday has been charged with theft, Moultrie Police Department reports said.

Dollar General, 1575 Camilla Hwy., reported that a woman concealed Sominex and Dramamine pills.

An officer searched the purse of Christine Loud, who was outside of the store, but did not find the stolen items. The officer then noticed the medication concealed in Loud's hoodie, police reports said.

Loud, 52, 1105 Martin Luther King jr. Drive, was charged with theft by shoplifting.

In other arrests:

--Wanda Renae Johnson, 41, 212 Seventh Ave. N.W., was charged Monday with probation violation.

--Tommy Brumbley, 17, 379 Indian Creek Subdivision Road, was charged Monday with no driver's license.

--Chadwick Eugene Langston, 32, 228 Ruth St., was charged Monday with no proof of insurance and expired tax.

--Adam Morales, 48, 86 Regency Village, was charged Tuesday with public drunk.

--Felicia Marchelle Thomas, 800 Fifth Avenue Southeast, reported Monday the theft of a laptop computer that she had loaned to a female acquaintance. That woman confirmed she borrowed the computer and that it had been taken by a male acquaintance without her permission, police reports said.

Colquitt County Sheriff's Office

--Wayme Lamar Anderson, 44, 710 Sixth St. S.E., was charged Monday with probation violation.

--Shauna Ann Bowers, 33, 153 Deer Road, was charged Sunday with simple assault.

--Gwen Elizabeth Johnson, 52, <location>1413 Hutchinson Drive, was charged Monday with probation violation.

--Ronald Travis Davis, 49, 153 Deer Run Road, was charged Sunday with simple assault (family violence), interference with a 911 call and simple battery.

Norman Park Police Department

--Jorge Garcia, 49, 255 Alabama Drive, Omega, was charged Monday with driving while license withdrawn and window tint violation.

--Joey Craig Moore, 42, 4852 Ga. Hwy. 262 Lot 16, Pelham, was charged Monday with probation violation.

Berlin Police Department

--Maricela Marino, 34, 206 Roy Price Road, and Rodrigo Lopez, 17, were each charged Monday with disorderly conduct/affray.

Thefts

Moultrie Police Department

--Steve Reynolds, Moultrie, reported Monday the theft of property totaling $1,550 from a residence in the 600 block of Third Avenue Northwest. Reynolds told the officer the owner of the house lives in Macon.

--Walmart, 641 Veterans Parkway S., reported Monday that a cashier was caught on video swiping items and bagging them before voiding those items. Two thefts were recorded on Nov. 17 for amounts totaling $101.66 and $23.80, police reports said, a third on Nov. 12 totaling $81.63, and another on Nov. 9 totaling $12.82.

Property damage

--Kah'nsha Thomas, Moultrie, reported Monday that a male acquaintance broke both rearview mirrors while they were in the 600 block of Eighth Street Southwest. Damage was estimated to the vehicle, the model of which was not specified in the police report.

--An officer responding to an alarm at Riverbend Convenience Store at 2:40 a.m. Tuesday found the front door damaged.
