Walk-In Lab Updates Patient Experience in Medical Lab Testing

Walk-In Lab said it is changing the patient experience in the area of medical laboratory testing.

In its release, Walk-In Lab noted that by reducing common inconveniences of the lab testing process, lowering the costs involved, and providing blood testing and results without the need for a doctor's order, it is creating what it calls a direct-to- consumer model that optimizes the patient experience.

"Without the hassle or expense of a doctor's office visit to get lab orders, consumers can go online and order blood tests to monitor their own health. Furthermore, the results are directly available to the patients in as little as 24 hours after the blood draw," says Kurtis Adams, Manager at Walk-In Lab. "With our model, patients no longer have to shop around for the most affordable laboratory. Walk- In Lab offers a low price guarantee which makes us an optimal choice for those with high deductibles or lacking health insurance all together."

Walk-In Lab reported that it also has a customer service team in place which the company feels adds credence to their claims of convenience. The lab test company, who has partnerships with over 1,700 CLIA certified locations, also offers around-the-clock assistance and posts test results 7 days a week. In addition, these laboratory partnerships allow patients the ability to choose locations that offer both walk-ins and appointments. Test results are available usually within 24-48 hours online in a secure Confidential Lab Record (CLR).
