Vista Metals Corp. Receives Certification for New Quality Management System, AS9100 C

Auditing agency SAI Global recently certified Vista Metals Corp.’s quality management system to AS9100 C. Vista Metals is the world’s largest independent producer of specialty aluminum products.

AS9100 C is an enhancement to Vista Metals’ Quality System, which has been ISO 9001 registered since 1997. Working within a long standing culture of continuous improvement, Vista identified the need to meet the critical requirements of their customer base who supply commercial aircraft OEM’s and aerospace manufacturers. As an aerospace standard, AS9100 requires among other items, specific consideration in the areas of risk management, trend analysis, root cause analysis, and additional quality and safety metrics.
