Vertafore, Inc. Launches Vertafore Benefits
New Unit Will Focus on Delivering Software and Automation Services to Employee Benefits Agencies and Brokers
Windsor, CT, January 26, 2005 - Looking to capitalize on their industry expertise and knowledge, Vertafore, Inc. announced today the official launch of Vertafore Benefits, a new division that will provide software and automation services to employee benefits agencies and brokerage firms across the country.
Vertafore Benefits becomes the fifth operating unit of Vertafore, Inc, the largest application service provider (ASP) in the insurance industry. The Windsor, CT-based company supports over 15,000 agencies representing over 120,000 end users.
"This is truly an exciting development for Vertafore as well as for brokers and agents in the employee benefits industry," said Loren Parsons, executive vice president at Vertafore. "We created this new division to specifically help brokers and agents maximize their efficiency and profitability. Our strategy of providing leading edge technology applications to the property and casualty insurance industry has been extremely successful, and we intend to bring the same level of client service, product innovation and commitment to the employee benefits field."
At the heart of the new division is the Vertafore Benefits Suite, comprised of two software products that can streamline and automate an agency and brokerage firm of any size. Vertafore Benefits Workflow is a web-based system that helps agencies and brokers effectively navigate through the sales, implementation, policy management and renewal processes. Vertafore Benefits Administration is a powerful application that consists of three exclusive portals, designed specifically for agents/brokers, employers and their employees.
Vertafore Benefits will be based in New Port Ritchey, FL and be headed by S. Stuart Spector, who was recently appointed vice president and general manager.
"The employee benefits industry continues to evolve and brokers everywhere are searching for ways to become more efficient and profitable while at the same time secure client relationships and continue to grow their business," says Spector.
"That’s why we created Vertafore Benefits - to provide them with broker-centric products that will ultimately provide them with a competitive advantage."
