USHEALTH Group Offers a Welcome Alternative to Annual Health Insurance Rate Increases

PR Web

Fort Worth, Texas (PRWEB) November 28, 2012

Now that we know health care reform is here to stay, many individuals - especially those who are self-employed or own a small business, are seeking alternatives to the predicted rise in health premiums that are associated with mandated benefits set forth by the law.

According to a recent survey more than 1 in 5 businesses are considering dropping employee health insurance and 59% are considering changing the coverage they offer. Two-thirds of surveyed small businesses say Obamacare will increase their health care costs.

So what can be done?

Fortunately, for many of the nation’s self-employed, small business owners and individuals, there may be some relief. Savvy healthcare shoppers may find an attractive alternative in the “fixed-rate” products being offered by USHEALTH Group through its wholly-owned distribution arm, USHEALTH Advisors.

“Our fixed-rate concept allows customers to actually lock in their low rate for up to 3 years”, said USHA President and CEO Troy McQuagge. “By choosing our fixed-rate option, our customers can avoid annual rate increases, thereby making it easier for them to budget for their health care costs over a longer period of time.”

To date, more than 85% of USHEALTH Advisors customers have selected the available fixed-rate option when purchasing their health care coverage, with 70% choosing to lock in their rates for 3 years.

“Our customers are finding they have more choices with our products in terms of benefits and price vs. our competitors” said the company’s CMO Brian Clark. “When you combine this increased flexibility with the ability to lock your rates over an extended period of time, you create a unique value proposition that is simply unavailable elsewhere.”

Through its insurance subsidiaries, USHEALTH Group offers a variety of coverage options for customers including fixed indemnity plans with unique escalating benefit options and available comprehensive coverage that is more flexible than traditional major medical plans. Both plan designs can be purchased from a licensed USHEALTH Advisors agent with the available fixed-rate option and other supplementary coverages for critical illnesses, accidents, life insurance, dental insurance and an accident disability plan.

“Our plan designs revolve around the concept of making it easy and convenient for customers to choose the appropriate combination of coverages that provide the best protection for them,” said USHA's Sr. VP of Marketing, Bill Shelton. “Working directly with a licensed USHA Agent, our customers can tailor their coverage to meet their needs at a price they can afford. And they avoid the hassles of dealing with multiple insurance applications and multiple carriers.”
