Timothy O’Rourke Named President of New Market Development at Aveta Inc.

Former Humana Executive Joins New Jersey-Based Managed Care Provider

FORT LEE, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Aveta Inc., one of the nation’s largest providers of managed healthcare services, announced today the addition of Timothy P. O’Rourke as president of new market development.

In this role, O’Rourke will lead Aveta’s efforts to expand existing services into new areas and oversee the development of new physician, hospital and health plan partnerships. O’Rourke will report to Aveta president and CEO, Dr. Richard Shinto.

O’Rourke most recently served as National Vice President of Provider Contracting for Humana, one of the largest marketers and administrators of health insurance plans in the United States. In that role, O’Rourke oversaw Humana’s nationwide provider engagement programs with 1.4 million members in addition to leading their medical home and ACO development strategy.

Prior to that, O’Rourke served as Humana’s Regional Vice President of Provider Contracting East Region; Vice President of Provider Contracting Northeast Region; and Regional Director of Network Management and Operations. He has also worked in healthcare finance and managed care contracting for Advocate Health Care of Oak Brook, Ill. and Genesis Health System in Davenport, Iowa.

O’Rourke earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Administration from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Ill.
