PR Web

Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 15, 2014

Behavioral Healthcare magazine has announced Johnny Patout, CEO of New Beginnings Adolescent Recovery Center, the leading teen residential treatment program in the Southwest, a 2014 Behavioral Healthcare Champion. Patout is one of only five individuals nationwide to be honored for his dedication, courage, inspiration and excellence as a leader of a behavioral health organization.

The 2014 Behavioral Healthcare Champions were selected from dozens of outstanding nominees. The five winners include:

1. Johnny Patout, LCSW, LSAC, CEO, New Beginnings Adolescent Recovery Center, Opelousas, La.
2. Nancy Cottingham, LCSW, CEO, Horizon Behavioral Health, Lynchburg, Va.
3. Debra Rex, MA, MEd, President and CEO, Beech Brook, Cleveland, Ohio
4. Joty Sikand, PsyD, President, The Hume Center, Concord, Calif.
5. Robert Simpson Jr., MPH, DSW, President and CEO, Brattleboro Retreat, Brattleboro, Vt.

"It's an honor to be named a 2014 Behavioral Healthcare Champion alongside such remarkable recipients and nominees," said Patout. "I am truly humbled and hope to continue furthering New Beginnings' efforts in helping teen addicts through the many steps toward recovery."

The 2014 Behavioral Healthcare Champions will be profiled in the July/August 2014 issue of Behavioral Healthcare. To learn more about Johnny Patout's more than 30 years as an addiction recovery expert, visit http://www.behavioral.net/article/2014-behavioral-healthcare-champion-johnny-patout.

The Champions will also receive recognition through a special ceremony during the National Conference on Addiction Disorders (NCAD) and the co-located Behavioral Healthcare Leadership Summit at the St. Louis Union Station Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri from August 22-26.
