Tarik Aouad named General Manager by Hannover ReTakaful
The appointment was announced by Mahomed Akoob, Managing Director of Hannover ReTakaful. Tarik Aouad has been with Hannover Re since 1998, holding various underwriting positions. He had been Chief Underwriting Officer of Hannover ReTakaful since the formation of the business in December 2006.
Hannover ReTakaful, based in Manama, Bahrain and operating under licence from the Central Bank of Bahrain, is a 100 per cent subsidiary of Hannover Re Germany and provides ReTakaful underwriting expertise for Takaful companies worldwide and in all lines of business. Hannover Re was the first major western reinsurance group to establish adedicated subsidiary for ReTakaful.It has an authorised share capital of BHD 50 million ($135 million).
