Subrogation Partners LLC Secures $100 Million Facility to Acquire and Finance Insurance Subrogation Claim Portfolios

March 1, 2005 Westport, CT - Subrogation Partners LLC announced today that it has received a $100 million credit facility for the purpose of acquiring and financing insurance subrogation claims portfolios.
Keith Minella, Chief Executive Officer of Subrogation Partners, stated, "Throughout the many years that we’ve been providing recovery solutions to the claims industry, our job has always been to help clients more effectively discover and capitalize on their subrogation assets, whether hidden or simply under-valued. Our long experience convinces us that subrogation claims represent a distinct asset class that can be collateralized, financed or purchased in pools. In canvassing a number of clients, we recognized an opportunity to offer clients an ability to monetize these assets and provide them with cash flow certainty through different approaches, including cash payments for an insurer’s future subrogation receivables, or through the direct purchase of outstanding claims portfolios."
According to Scott Conant, President of Subrogation Partners, "As the insurance industry addresses its challenges, we believe Subrogation Partners is well positioned to provide a source of financing that, in conjunction with a dedicated recovery program, can help insurers more effectively monetize their receivables, improve their balance sheets and, in turn, allow insurance enterprises to better focus on their core competencies."
The credit facility was provided by Silver Point Principal Finance, an investment firm specializing in asset-based financing and other structured transactions.
