Stroz Friedberg’s Adam Torres is Nominated to California’s Commission on Judicial Performance

SACRAMENTO, Calif., May 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Stroz Friedberg LLC, a leading digital risk management and investigations firm, is pleased to announce Governor Edmund G. Brown, Jr. has appointed Adam N. Torres, Managing Director of the firm's Los Angeles office, to the State of CaliforniaCommission on Judicial Performance. Mr. Torres' appointment will further strengthen the firm's expertise in investigations and the judicial process as he spends four years directly supporting the Commission's mandate to enforce rigorous standards of judicial conduct.

Mr. Torres draws on more than 26 years in the justice system. He established and leads Stroz Friedberg's business intelligence and investigations practice in Los Angeles, specializing in white collar investigations, due diligence, security consulting, court-appointed Special Master engagements and trusted monitorships.

Prior to joining Stroz Friedberg, Mr. Torres served for seven years as United States Marshal for the Central Judicial District of California, a post to which he was appointed by President George W. Bush. Mr. Torres also previously served as Supervisory Special Agent of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Criminal Investigation Division where he led financial, bribery, money laundering, employee corruption and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) investigations.

The Commission's jurisdiction includes all judges of California's superior courts and the justices of the Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. It has the authority to investigate allegations of judicial misconduct and, if warranted, impose discipline.
