CDC is seeking information to guide strategic planning for the Clinical Immunization Safety Assessment (CISA) Project to improve our understanding of vaccine safety at the individual patient level. CISA complements other federal vaccine safety activities. The current CISA network was established in 2001 and is a collaboration among CDC, America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), and six academic medical research sites with vaccine safety experts. An external peer review of CISA was conducted in 2010. This Request for Information (RFI) does not commit the Government to award a contract on the basis of responses, but seeks to establish a framework within which the final terms of a request for proposal may be written. By submitting a response, the respondent agrees that the Government may copy the response information for purposes of facilitating review. For this RFI, CDC seeks information in two areas described in the attached document. Responders may address Part 1, Part 2 or both. The applicable Small Business North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this type of work is 541990 - All Other Professional, Scientific and Technical Services, $7M revenues. All respondants must indicate their business size (small, large, other) based on this NAICS code in their response.
