The Securian Financial Group board of directors approved five officer-level promotions.
In a release, the Company noted that former senior corporate counsel Mark Geldernick is now second vice president, Law. He joined Securian in 2007 after eight years as corporate counsel for Best Buy.
Susan Munson-Regala was promoted from director to second vice president and actuary for the group life insurance division. She began her actuarial career at Securian as an intern in the summer of 1987 and joined the company in 1990 as an actuarial analyst.
Kristi Nelson has spent her entire career at Securian. She joined the company in 1987 as an actuarial student and is now second vice president and actuary for the credit protection business. Nelson is chairwoman of the Consumer Credit Protection Association and is a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries.
Siddarth Gandhi was promoted to vice president of strategic business development. He joined Securian in 2010 as second vice president to lead the company's enterprise strategic business development including enterprise strategy development and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, he was in a strategy and business development leadership position at Ameriprise Financial.
William Gould will serve as vice president, individual actuarial and finance. Gould joined the company's accounting department in 1996. He now oversees the individual life insurance division's finance and product development function and the individual annuity financial area.
