Rising Medical Solutions Posts New Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Medical Fee Schedule
Proquest LLC
An updated Rhode Island Workers' Compensation Medical Fee Schedule has been released and will go into effect on May 1, for services on or after that date.
According to a release, the Medical Fee Schedule contains rules and maximum reimbursement rates, by procedure, for workers' compensation medical services in the State of Rhode Island. These guidelines and rates cover a number of services, including: Anesthesia, Pharmacy, Surgical, and Physical/Occupational Medicine.
This Medical Fee Schedule update applies to all service types with the exception of hospital rates and guidelines. The 2013 Rhode Island Hospital Fee Schedule therefore remains in effect until further notice.
The Division of Workers' Compensation monitors the workers' compensation system, ensuring that appropriate documents are filed to protect injured workers and employers, that claims are paid correctly, that all required employers have insurance coverage, and that insurance carriers report policy information to the Division. The Division also compiles information about injuries and costs, provides educational services, and investigates fraud.
Rising Medical Solutions is a national medical-financial solutions firm that provides medical care management and medical cost containment services to the workers' compensation, auto, liability and group health markets.
