Having spent much of her career in a senior HR generalist/management role, Wohlfield's background gives her special kinship with Walsh PHR/SPHR students who typically work small to mid-size firms. "My prior career experiences exposed me to just about every possible HR responsibility and issue; everything from recruiting to onboarding to performance reviews to problem employees and termination. I can relate to the students in just about every HR situation."

She is an attorney practicing employment law at Butzel Long and concentrates her practice primarily in the areas of employment law and commercial litigation. She represents employers in federal and state court litigation and before state and federal administrative agencies.
"It's important for our students to understand the reasons behind the laws so they can help their employers develop policies and procedures to keep them out of court," says Davies. "The reasons why HR people should come to Walsh to prepare for the PHR/SPHR exams are because the books and online tools provided by SHRM are supplemented with real-world discussion; the entire class is engaged since they are all working in the field; and we keep in touch with a variety of ongoing professional education opportunities," concludes Davies.
