Rainmaker Entertainment Inc.: Notice
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 07/07/10 -- Rainmaker Entertainment (TSX: RNK) - As previously disclosed in its annual and quarterly financial statements, the Company is aware of a possible claim with respect to an environmental contamination on a site that an acquired Company did not own but where the Company formerly conducted business.
The Company was advised that a writ has been filed in BC Supreme Court by Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada, naming various parties including Rainmaker Entertainment Inc. as defendants. At this time the writ has not been served upon Rainmaker and no proceedings have commenced. Sun Life is seeking unspecified damages from the named parties relating to contamination to the site.
The Company continues to evaluate the matter to determine the risk of potential liability associated with this claim. A reasonable estimate of potential liability cannot be determined at this time.
