MARKHAM, Ontario, Dec. 21, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Rolta International announced today that Chris Atkinson has been appointed to the position of President of Rolta Canada Ltd.  This appointment is in keeping with Rolta's longstanding commitment to developing and delivering world-class geospatial solutions. Chris will provide leadership for development of Rolta OnPoint, which is at the heart of Rolta Geospatial Fusion offerings, and for business operations, with a focus on the North America market, especially Canada.

Chris brings to Rolta a wealth of experience with over 20 years in executive leadership, sales, marketing, solution delivery and product innovation.  He is a true entrepreneur who has launched and grown several geospatial and business intelligence enterprises in North America.  His past experience includes founding DMTI Spatial, one of Canada's leading GIS product and solution development firms.  More recently Chris founded MobiSphere Business Solutions, a firm providing a cutting edge, standards-based mobile Internet customer experience platform for small and medium enterprises.  Chris holds a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Waterloo and has completed advanced studies in artificial intelligence and business management.
