Professional Risk Associates Names Steve Fargis as Vice President of Business/Product Development

Midlothian, VA - September 17, 2007 – Professional Risk Associates, a leading medical malpractice insurance agency in the mid-Atlantic United States, announces the appointment of Steve Fargis to the newly created position of Vice President, Business/Product Development. In this position, Fargis will be responsible for the strategic planning, business intelligence and R&D for developing new programs and products for the agency. "Steve is a strong addition to the leadership at Professional Risk Associates, bringing twenty (20) years of experience in the healthcare and insurance industries to his position," said John Glander, President of Professional Risk Associates. Prior to joining Professional Risk Associates, Fargis was Senior Vice President for K&B Underwriters, LLC, a privately held insurance agency specializing in medical malpractice for the long-term care industry, hospitals, and other healthcare products. In addition to adding seven new markets and two new products, Mr. Fargis also provided operational guidance on strategic planning, workflow process improvement, market development and financial/sales reporting. He earned his BSBA from East Carolina University and Masters in Hospital Administration from Medical College of Virginia. Fargis also brings experience from St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond), VA, Virginia Hospital Association, The Virginia Insurance Reciprocal and NCRIC Group.
