PR Web

FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA (PRWEB) September 26, 2014

Old Dominion Management Services announces a name change to Middleburg Management with immediate effect. The name change better aligns the branding of the Management Company with their parent company, Middleburg Capital. The Middleburg name represents excellence in all facets of real estate ownership, development, and management.

Along with this name change, Middleburg Management is pleased to announce the addition of two new Senior Executives to their team. Mr. Jeffrey A Goldshine has joined the Company as President, and Mr. Tom Casey as Sr. Vice President of National Maintenance and Construction.

An industry veteran, Jeff has a distinguished track record of building and growing property management companies over his 38-year career. In his current role as President of Middleburg Management, Jeff is responsible for overall operations and financial performance of the portfolio. He is lead motivator and driver of our positive culture, and short and long term performance and value add initiatives. He is focused on strategic planning and growth of our management organization, as well as the accomplishment of best practice initiatives in the areas of recruitment, training and development, operational systems, customer service attitude and responsiveness, strategic marketing and market analytics, social media, and maintenance excellence throughout the company.

Prior to Middleburg, Jeff most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of NOVO Development, headquartered in Washington DC. His previous experience includes serving as President of Mission Residential Management, where he built and ran the property operating company with a portfolio of over 15,000 apartments. In this role, he was responsible for all day-to-day operations of the company with overall financial responsibility for the portfolio. Before joining Mission, Jeff served as Senior Vice President and Director of Management Operations at CAPREIT, Inc. He joined them in 1993 and rose through the ranks to assume operational and financial responsibilities for 12,000 units nationwide. Jeff was also instrumental in the creation of Artery Property Management, Inc. where he served as President of a 12,000 unit portfolio, primarily located in the Washington DC area.

Jeff has been a featured speaker, moderator and panelist on issues including technology, management, problem solving, human resources, product management and revenue management at multifamily industry conferences. He pioneered the use of call center technology, resident background screening and branded approach to marketing and advertising.

A graduate of George Washington University, Jeff holds the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, and has been active on several industry boards and organizations.

"We are excited to have Jeff at the helm to lead us forward as we continue to grow our business. His expertise in building state of the art management companies is unmatched in the industry", commented Chris Finlay, Managing Principal of Middleburg Capital.

The Company is also pleased to announce that Tom Casey has joined the Company as Senior Vice President of National Maintenance and Construction. Tom's role is to oversee the maintenance department, construction and rehabilitation programs, as well as monitor performance standards for the entire portfolio using procedures and programs that he has developed throughout his career. Tom has a well-established track record for improving property maintenance and capital expenditures through the use of bulk purchasing programs and cost control policies.

For over 25 years, Tom has been focused on apartment construction and maintenance. Most recently he served as Head of Construction for Middleburg Capital. Prior to Middleburg Capital, Tom was the Vice President and National Maintenance Manager for Mission Residential Management, where he was instrumental in establishing and implementing best practices policies and procedures for a rapidly growing new property management company. Prior to Mission Residential, Tom was Vice President of Construction and Maintenance for CAPREIT, Inc. Tom holds numerous industry certifications in construction and maintenance including EPA, OSHA, and mold remediation. In addition, Tom is a NASCLA Accredited General Contractor and has held a general contracting license. He is also a certified Commercial Insurance Adjuster.

"Tom's ability to enhance property value through implementing and ensuring compliance with best practices maintenance policies has been demonstrated repeatedly over his long and distinguished career. His overall apartment construction knowledge adds tremendous value to our Company and gives us a real advantage over our competitors in the industry", commented Chris Finlay.
