Office Ally to Present Full Suite of Revenue Cycle Management Services at HIMSS Conference

Proquest LLC

Office Ally, an organization offering healthcare providers a full suite of revenue-cycle management services, announced that it will showcase its full array of products and services at the 2014 HIMSS annual conference being held February 24-27 in Orlando, Florida.

According to a release, HIMSS is a global not-for-profit organization focused on better health through information technology. Its goals and ambitions perfectly align with the Office Ally business portfolio, which encourages healthcare providers to automate their offices and leverage the power of technology to achieve greater efficiencies, better clinical outcomes, and improved patient satisfaction.

Office Ally's messages have resonated well with the provider community, evidenced by the fact that the company experienced another record-setting year in 2013 adding 40,000 clients to a total of 330,000 providers now using one or more products provided by Office Ally. More than 11,000 of these physicians utilize Office Ally's EHR 24/7 product, which in 2013 was tested and certified for Stage II Meaningful Use under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program.

The group noted that this exceptional Stage II certification means that healthcare providers using Office Ally's EHR systems qualify to receive federal stimulus monies - a key component of the federal government's push to improve clinical-care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs. (This Complete EHR product, EHR 24/7, is 2014 Edition compliant and has been certified by an ONC- ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments. Office Ally's EHR 24/7 is available for a flat monthly fee with the option to add eRx for an additional flat monthly fee paid direct to NewCrop.)

"Participating at the HIMSS annual meeting gives us the opportunity to meet with innovative-minded providers from around the country and share with them sensible and affordable ways they can use technology to improve care as well as their own bottom line," said Brian O'Neill, president and CEO of Office Ally. "Each year at HIMSS we find tremendous interest in our latest innovations, and we learn from each other what's on the horizon in increased IT efficiencies for the coming year."

Among the latest solutions from Office Ally was the 2013 introduction of a "conversion tool" that helps healthcare providers comply with new government regulations regarding how they document - or "code" - care delivered to patients. Coding has been used in the United States for more than 100 years with codes or "alphanumeric designations" given to every diagnosis, description of symptoms, and cause of death. Currently most of the codes in the United States are ICD-9 codes; but the government has mandated that by October 1, all providers transition to ICD-10. The new Diagnosis Lookup tool from Office Ally, designed to help providers ease the transition, is available free of charge to all Office Ally clients.

Office Ally reported that electronic health records and the new conversion tool are only two of the many technology-based products that will be displayed at HIMSS by Office Ally, all offered at minimal or no cost to providers and backed by one of healthcare's largest customer and technical support centers available 24/7. Office Ally's complete suite of interactive ASP Internet-based solutions includes a patient health registry - Patient Ally, electronic health records - EHR 24/7, practice management - Practice Mate, clearinghouse and case-connect tool. Founded in 2000 Office Ally currently works with more than 330,000 providers and 5,600 insurance carriers in all 50 states while also housing eligibility for nearly 400 IPAs and small health plans. Further information may be obtained at officeally.com.

The 2014 HIMSS Exhibition and Conference will be held February 23- 27 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Keynote speakers include former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, AETNA CEO Mark Bertolini, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Administrator Marilyn Tavenner.
